For those wondering what Yin Yoga, you would be surprised to know that it's just been introduced to us in this era by Master Zink. He has compiled his years of training background from martial arts and personal beliefs & practices from Taoism which originated from the ancient Taoist health practices, philosophy, and spiritual traditions of China. In life, there is always the two opposites & they come in different forms, sizes and activities. A yang activity is more hands on and a yin slightly more subtle aspects of discussion, sleeping, thinking or even inventing. Yin-Yang is derived from a taoist philosophy of being in harmony with everything in life, respecting each other's uniqueness & understanding how to fill that void by certain enactments, thoughts & feelings.
However, Yin Yoga classes is not a religious practice. Its practices is based on the principles of relaxing the mind and body to find zen through positioning an individual and allowing them to find relaxation to stretch further by leading it with the breath. Yin yoga as well can be incorporated with meditation, carefully selected poses to affect meridians and our kinetic chain as well as emotional release for those suffering from mental trauma of not being able to let go of an event in their life.
Yin yoga session is considered the most relaxing lessons due to the nature of having to use bolsters and props to help the body find a relaxed, effortless position. One of the principles of Yin yoga is that when you are in a posture where you find too much stretch and all you can think of is the area of your body being stretched constantly, to back off till your mind is able to be aware of your breath and thoughts etc.
Yin yoga as well is so gentle and non-intrusive that anyone with a mental ability to listen to instructions and any form of physical abilities can turn up for a session and reap the benefits of the lessons.
