How GPT(Group Personal Training) Different than Group Fitness Class or Boot Camps?
Our sessions are NEITHER categorized under Boot Camps or Group Fitness Class. We feel that anything that has more than six people is just too hard for the personal trainer to do what he’s good at. Personal Trainers can’t do a group class for the very reason, that they are too meticulous with form and execution of techniques. The format that we run the classes as well is different than a group class or Boot Camps. A typical group Group Fitness or aerobic is a formatted class that the entire group follows. Zumba, Les Mills BODYCOMBAT™, Les Mills CXWORX™, Les Mills BODYPUMP™, Yoga, Cycling, Aqua Fitness are examples of a group exercise classes. You show up and perform the motions that are being demonstrated or cued. A group exercise class is basically choreographed in that the entire group more or less is doing the same thing. In a group exercise setting, the teacher instructs, and the students follow.
We actually design a program to fit individuals as we would in personal training making it both a learning process for clients training with us, this way we help lessen the chances of injuries you might sustain during a session at MSMC. While boot camps and group aerobics/ fitness classes are a great way of moving and getting your body in a sweat and burning calories, the instructor cannot oversee everyone and stop the class just because ONE person is doing it wrong, thus movements done in a group class settings are general and Non- Specific to individual's goals. In our training class, you can expect the Personal Trainer to stop a class and explain in details what mistakes you’re doing and how to correct it. It may take the full session, it may take few minutes, it is after all, what engaging personal trainers are all about. We give you our undivided attention, passion and knowledge to your advantage!
