Assessment
This plays the biggest role in helping to guide the therapist determine what to stretch, what techniques will be used and how to engage the joint, tendon, and muscles to help with relaxation, or facilitation to help balance any imbalances on your posture that may be causing you pain and changing the way you walk, move or play your sports. If you want to read the Ultimate Guide to FST, read it here.

PNF(proprioceptor neuromuscular facilitation)
FST(fascial stretch therapy) uses PNF to help with strengthening and increasing the relaxation of the muscles and helping shift the brain into a more "rest & digest" than our current state of tension(fight or flight mode) where we fail to relax the body into further stretch for fear of injury, and all this is pre calculated by the brain without you realising. PNF has been shown by many studies to be able to help increase range of motion for those who has tried stretching many times without success, and through a combination of breath to encourage the whole body & mind to relax, stretch and restore balance.
