Pain
We are bound to have met pain at least once in our lifetime, either chronic or acute. There are a few pains that are met with high statistics, especially low back pain being about 80% of pain experienced at least once in adults. Everyone experiences pain differently, this can come from conditioning of your living environment, perception of pain, and how your CNS(central nervous system) functions and how it perceives dangerous situation to turn on the pain receptors, and release pain signals to notify us that damage has occured.

Age and Pain
There is no co-relation with pain and aging. When we get older, pain is not a process that comes along with it, pain is experienced as we age due to lifestyle factors such as sedentariness, musculoskeletal imbalances, or repetitive strain injuries that did not heal fully, and loss of muscles mass throughout the years of aging. Many people are misinformed and is under the impression of anecdotal news that as we grow older, that pain will be in your life. No research has yet to conclusively say this(pain) as a fact of aging.

Movement Therapy
While many of us don't see movement as therapy, we at MSMC promote movement to combat our lifestyle to include it as both preventative and treatment to imbalances which may be causing pain and aches throughout the body. Our body is made to adapt to whatever environment we choose to expose it to frequently, and correct choices of movement(eg exercise) has now seen an equal important choice next to medications prescribed by medical physicians. Movement therapy can help manage or treat pain by correcting the body's imbalances, if you are or have been in a wrong position to start with, any movement thereafter with a wrong positional start point, will and may lead to strained or repetitive strained injuries which is a common injury amongst non elite athletes, not surprisingly.
