4/30/2019 1 Comment Best Yoga Studio in Singapore 2019Yoga What's the first thing you think of when the word Yoga is mentioned? The tree pose perhaps or the famous downward dog if i may say? For most of us yoga is seen as an exercise that benefits our physical body by strengthening muscles and joints, corrects posture etc. You're not entirely right nor wrong, they do come with these benefits, just not the entire scope of Yoga. Yoga has many more benefits than meets the eye. The main teachings of yoga is to have individuals go through life and have a very fulfilling time on earth. As with everything on earth, it (yoga) gets a category to be able to practise what you feel suits your life's timeline. It helps create a higher perception of awareness, higher sensory and cognitive all year round and to allow you to accept life itself as it is (pertaining to life, death and everything it has to offer). So what makes a Yoga studio "good or stand out"? While there is not a definite answer according to our ground research of asking people, both inexperienced and experienced, there is a few things you can look out for to see authenticity to the teachings of Yoga (what you actually came to/ wanna learn right?!). After all, Yoga is highly associated with decreased levels of stress and an improved well being both from a mental and physical point of view and there's plenty of research to you can read online. From what we have learnt from polls done with people just like you and us, here is what we gathered (graph below). So here are a few more things you can look out for to see the teachers at the studio if they're competent. Check to see if they have a presence online How many hours of training do they have (200hrs, 300hours, 500hrs etc) Are they trained locally or away? Ask around what people think of the teacher(s) and listen to negative ones as positive is not what you are looking for (technically speaking). If the teacher comes recommended, it doesn't mean that you will like the style of teaching or method or just how they dress etc. There are so many factors to factor in but ultimately you would have the choice to choose which studio you deem good or best yoga studio in Singapore! Like always, chat with them to feel how they are as a person instead of the teacher and you will have the answer, if you find it hard to talk to the teacher then it's like shopping for clothes that you can't try to see how it fits you so then why would you buy it right? Think about it, nowadays when you go shopping the big brands shops would have a female and male sections, so if you'd have that in a yoga studio to cater to your other half to whatever they could do while you ommmm away, that would for anyone be a clear winner! Did we miss anything out? Leave us your thoughts, what criteria(s) makes the best yoga studio in Singapore!
