BFR | Blood Flow Restriction | Singapore

blood flow restriction training using resistance training
IF you're looking for a faster way to increase growth hormone, muscle mass(skeletal muscle hypertrophy), strength, & not suffer a delayed onset muscle soreness, read on how BFR(blood flow restricted exercise) can be in your gym bag for everything related to strength training, & have longer training durations.

Blood Flow Restriction Training & Muscle Growth

In physical therapy & sports medicine settings, post operative patients potentially benefit from BFR exercise with blood flow restriction therapy as there's no need for loading more weights(low loads) when doing resistance training. Blood flow restriction exercise is by itself a training method, which works by arterial occlusion pressure(restrict blood flow), causing blood pooling in the limbs around the muscle tissue, which then creates increased metabolic stress. When not using BFR training work, the muscle damage versus muscle repair on BFR training is higher, & this is because of the increased muscle protein synthesis to muscle breakdown, which literally means muscle hypertrophy.

BFR Training

Research(systematic review) has suggested that aerobic capacity for cyclists using arterial blood flow or blood flow occlusion coupled with just 15 mins three ties weekly improved in VO2 max. BFR training can be implemented in many different ways to your current programme using high load resistance exercise to shifting it down to low load through blood flow restriction training. This lowers the risks associated with high intensity training where even trained athletes will go through mechanical tension or be on the load compromised populations which high risk of wear & tear happens. However, when on bfr training(blood flow restriction training), muscle cells which cease blood flow from the cuff pressure increases both aerobic capacity, & training intensity which provides new muscular adaptations via the central nervous system. When applied for either therapy purposes or performance, muscle recovery improves via increased red blood cells, muscle strength, & release of all the hormones that allows for higher metabolic rate, fat loss, & healing!
