Exercise Singapore Guidelines 2021

Find out the latest on exercise classes allowed indoors, sporting activities, & indoor gyms in Singapore
Government agencies are advising safe management measures to all public and private gyms, fitness studios, recreation facilities, & any organised programmes and classes to reduce the capacity limit to two people to reduce the risk of transmission.

Mass participation sport events

Organised programmes such as combat sports, martial arts, boxing ring, & exercise using punching pads need to ensure low-intensity sports/ physical activities. Recreational facilities are also advised to keep physical activity/exercise to a capacity limit

Sport Singapore

Strenuous activity outdoors or large outdoors classes have also stated that indoor setting depending on the gross floor area based to keep stringent safe management measures & social gatherings are not allowed in the studio. Different groups of clients(up to two individuals/ up to two people are allowed to be grouped.

Resistance training

While the gym remain closed due to pieces of equipment not allowed to be provided during any exercise classes that involves strenuous physical activity, group personal training, & aerial classes taught in our studio will go through changes adhering to the guidelines of high-intensity classes to common equipment to cater towards low-intensity sports or activity. To maintain safe distancing, & minimise contact, clients at the studio are strongly discouraged from touching our common equipment such as the barbells, kettlebells, etc in th gym. Cardio training is now only with bodyweight training which is still going to hep with physical activites, & fitness levels of our organised programmes and classes. Wearing masks is now made mandatory by law with a limited capacity limit to sports indoors up to two people

Multiple groups

Stretching exercises such as our stretch series are still open for bookings:
  • Stretch mobility(athletics)
  • Stretch mob(arts)
  • Yoga
  • Aerial stretch
The physical distancing between two groups of people will 3m, & one person will be 2m, thus our classes will take a limited number of clients with the temporary measures to lower transmission risk to a later date for all classes.
Du to the close contact nature of some of the classes, we have closed the classes but will have resume our online classes. When exercise outdoors, we strongly encourage physical activities such as playing sport/ or large outdoor classes such as swim outdoors, or those organising competitions to follow what physical activities is allowed in multiple groups such as martial arts(eg muay thai)/ any physical activities as the government agencies are conducting inspections for safe distancing, high intensity exercise session, along with guidelines to wearing masks.
