While over the counter medications only works temporarily. Here are some tips you can use to help you with your pain relief & to managing pain, improving overall wellbeing & quality of life. Walking is another great choice to improve physical activity if you have pain/ frequent flare ups for other conditions such as back pain(muscle pain), & exercise have been shwn in many systematic review/ meta analysis that it can help relieve symptoms associated with arthritis & help strengthen joints through specific imposed adaptation(resistance training).
