Do you Aerial?
It goes by many names, Aerial Yoga, Hammock Fitness, Floating yoga, Air Yoga, and a few others. The principles are the same throughout the differences in name, a loop of material(hardly ever with silks) , with you learning movements which translate into, being in a certain posture with a name! It's one of the fastest trending things that is catching up after Bikram Yoga(hot yoga), with studios that has a long line of waitlist of students coming in. The idea of fun is usually associated with aerials, but fortunately with the nature of teaching it, teachers are usually well exposed and trained in using them outweighs the fun part as the teacher would ensure the best possible fun without causing injury. It has benefits that not many people know, so here we are helping to educate everyone how doing aerial can be more than what you know!
TOP 5 Benefits of Aerials:
  1. Improve your Spine's health
  2. Improve motor control
  3. Improve hand eye coordination
  4. Improve your joint's health
  5. Decrease inflammation
  6. Increase lymphatic system function
  7. Increase | Improve cognitive function
  8. Social life | new friends
  9. Increase | Improve wellbeing
  10. Improve vestibular function
  11. Decrease | Manage height phobia
  12. Improve sleep
We realise people, the topic was initially the top 5 benefits of Aerial, but how can we stop at 5 when there's so much more that we can list down to help educate people reading this. Putting the benefits aside, there will be people whom may want to take extra precaution prior to joining an aerial class if you have any health or medical conditions, always ask your physician if doing aerials is ok. If yes, then let the teacher know to have them regress some movements to avoid any mishap that may happen.
Something to take note of, is when you do aerials, some movements may leave your body with a sore spot or tenderness the next day as your body is not seasoned with how your body is wrapped or resting on the fabric. One more question we get a lot is do i need any form of experience? Absolutely not! Our classes are for absolute beginners with little to no experience!
