What to wear for yoga session?

If this is your search on what to wear for your first yoga session, fear not. We have a few simple tips for those about to go on the yoga journey for whatever reason. Yoga has two aspects of practice, one being the postures and alignment and the other being the mental practice which is meditation. During any of the session, we always want to have loose, comfortable and stretchy materials so to not cut off blood to other parts of the body while practising yoga!
For Asana(posture) and meditation classes:
One thing you want to make sure is that the leggings are not see through for Asana class! Have a friend on standby for this when you go shopping! Below are some of the pants and shorts you can see what suits your style and comfort.

Typical leggings for sporting activities

Loose fit pants allows comfort and freedom of movement for those who doesn't like a leggings that is too hugging around your lower body

Flare style allows a much more freer feeling

Worn by many yoga followers, these pants by far is the chosen outfit for most sessions. Except they don't wick sweat and dry them off fast enough. Best for meditation classes

Shorts like this allows maximum movements and freedom for all yoga classes but doesn't wick out your sweat on your fabric

Loose hippie lycra which is a hybrid between the hareem pants on the left and the typical leggings. They are usually longer than heels, used best for slow classes and meditation.
What not to wear:
If you are wanting to wear shorts, find shorts that are closed without the slits at the sides as asanas classes are usually movements to explore your body in various positions and might be revealing more than your wrong postures.

Slits? Skip it if you're looking to actually do Yoga.
All in all, whatever you choose to wear should be comfortable enough to move without restricting movements or blood flow and allow space for you tot think about the session and not if what you are wearing looks good or is it too revealing. Well let us know how it goes with your shopping for your first yoga class and how you feel, let us know what you are wearing!
