How do you get certified in Breathwork breathing techniques?
There are numerous breathwork training teaching different breathing techniques to become breathwork facilitators. The teacher raining teaches physiology, awareness of the breath, anatomy, & how breathing using specific techniques promotes the ability for people to heal. Teacher training takes a whole lot of commitment having to go through at least 6 months on an average before they are confident enough as a qualified teacher for breathwork training. There are various online breathwork training class & workshops where you can get started with, being anywhere in the world & start teaching how to use the breath!
What is breathwork training?
Breathwork is the conscious manipulation of the breath to affect changes in our body on a cellular level & mental. Breathwork training is just like training your body, however, slightly more subtle sense of transformation. Breathwork sessions are sometimes done for therapy to help people discover how to improve their mind-body connection. If you're already doing some yoga practice & meditation, you may encounter some familiar breathing experience which uses breathing technique such alternate nostril breathing or breath holds. While manipulating your breath during breathwork class is not exactly the same as a yoga class, the breath is given more focus to change the energy in your body & how you can use it in your life.
Is Breathwork Session Safe?
People around the world are starting to begin to be more aware of the breath & how it affects their life for a reason, & its not only in yoga classes. While all you do is breathe consciously, not all breathing practices are the same & some may cause more stress to your body, & in some cases create worse health symptom/ condition. Some breath work causes a spike of energy, some brings you down to earth, some breath literally brings you out to space! Generally, most breath practices are safe to follow & do, but if you do have a medical condition such as heart, stroke, high BP etc, check in with the breathwork facilitator if the session that you're coming for will be suited for you. On a general consensus, people with heart or high blood pressure should not be doing any form of breath holds.
